Get To Know Me

I am a freelance writer, journalist, illustrator, and Hatha yoga teacher covering food, travel, health & wellness, wine & spirits, sustainability, and agriculture.

My mission as a freelance copywriter and content marketing strategist is to help businesses implement successful content marketing strategies, ensuring they establish authority in their current niches and build long-term relationships with their customers.

My writing has appeared in INSIDER, OpenTable, Southern Living, Trivago, TripSavvy, Lonely Planet, Zagat, TIME, AllRecipes, Eating Well, Cooking Light, Taste of Home, Marriott Bonvoy Traveler, October Magazine, London’s Evening Standard, two travel anthologies—The Trip That Changed My Life, and Taste the World—and on my personal blog, Where’s Bel. I also co-authored Fodor’s Essential India guidebook in 2019.

I’m a third-culture kid who was born and raised in Dubai, UAE. I graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Animal Sciences (Pre-Veterinary) and a minor in French Languages and Literature. An internship took me to the East Coast, where I worked for an animal welfare non-profit working on farm animal policy & companion animal issues.

Places I have called “home”: Dubai, Hawaii, LA, Washington DC, and NYC.

When I’m not in front of my laptop writing away, you’ll find me either illustrating, sculpting, or on my yoga mat, deepening my practice and teaching others—I’m a certified RYT 200 Hatha yoga teacher since 2017.

I am available for design and illustration work, freelance content marking, blogging, and ghostwriting — take a look at my copywriting services to get a better idea of what I can do for you and your business.
